Iron Chef Walter Royal Uses Whole Harvest Oils.


Our featured Chef is Walter Royal, the Executive Chef of The Angus Barn Steakhouse in Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to overseeing the preparation of 5,000 pounds of beef each week, he flexes his creative muscles by developing special menus in the restaurant's exclusive Wine Cellar Dinning Room. Walter has been frying, baking, and sautéing with Whole Harvest Oils exclusively since 2004.


Royal's talents have won him recognition from the Restaurant Guild International who named him the Five Star Chef of the Year. He is the first black chef to have received this prestigious award. Other awards have included Best Chef in the Triangle, James Bear Rising Star, Top Black Chef in America and one of the Top Five Chefs in the Southeast.


Walter's recent accomplishments include an appearance and cooking victory on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.” He has also been featured in numerous national magazines including Ebony, Savoy, Gourmet, and Southern Living.
